4. Data Storage and Security
4.1 Local Storage
By default, all your financial data is stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This means:
- Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it
- We cannot access your transaction data
- Your data is tied to your browser and device
- Clearing browser data will delete your transactions
4.2 Cloud Storage (Optional)
If you choose to sign in with Google:
- Your data may be synchronized to Firebase Cloud Firestore
- Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest
- You can delete your cloud data at any time by signing out and clearing local storage

- HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
- Firebase Authentication for secure Google Sign-In
- No server-side storage of unencrypted financial data
- Client-side only processing (no backend servers)

5.1 Google AdSense

- Cloud Data: Retained until you sign out and delete it
